Shape and Adventure Fit join for first Diva Dash Obstacle Race
On March 3, 2010, SHAPE announced a new venture with Adventure Fit that will result in the launch of the first Diva Dash Obstacle adventure race. The event will be held in Austin, Texas on April 9, 2011 at the Walter E. Long Metropolitan Park. The entire obstacle course spans three miles long and there will be numerous, healthy activities for participants to engage in.
According to an announcement by SHAPE, women of all fitness levels may participate as participants may choose to run or walk in the event. SHAPE has also provided access for participants to train for the event as well. Training will be held at the Run Tex Riverside. More than 2,000 athletes are expected to participate in the Diva Dash Obstacle event.
Those who would like to participate are encouraged to register at Diva Dash. Registration fees do apply and the starting cost is an advance payment of $35.00. You may find more information at the Diva Dash website.
