A spokesman for the star told MailOnline: 'No Britney is not engaged,' in response to claims talent agent .
The 29-year-old was spotted with a flower-shaped band on her engagement finger - however it appears it could just be a promise ring.
Rumours the singer was set to wed were reported in The Sun newspaper today, with the publication claiming 39-year-old Jason proposed by writing a romantic poem and filling the ground floor of their Los Angeles home with roses and candles.
The newspaper said they are planning a low-key wedding in Hawaii after the singer and mother of two finishes her world tour.
A source told the publication: 'Britney's desperate to settle down again and have more children.
'But she is very traditional and didn't want to start a family with Jason until they'd tied the knot.'
In a recent interview with Us Magazine, Britney dropped a strong hint that she was planning to tie the knot with Jason, saying 'never say never,' when asked if they were planning to walk down the aisle any time soon.

Spears, who kicks off her Femme Fatale tour later this month, also told U.S. Harper’s Bazaar magazine that she has already considered marriage and kids with talent agent Trawick, who was also her manager until just last month.
'I've thought about both. So if the timing was right...' she said, before going on to reveal how happy she is after overcoming extreme personal problems in recent years.
‘I feel like I'm drinking a tall glass of homemade sweet tea on a really hot, beautiful day,’ she said.

The couple have been together for two years during which their relationship has quietly gone from strength to strength.
Trawick has also become an important figure in the lives of Spears' two sons Sean Preston, five, and Jayden James, four.
'Jason is just amazing with the boys. They look up to him so much - they adore him. He's their hero.'
Twice-divorced Spears had a notoriously short-lived wedding to childhood friend Jason Alexander in 2004 that was annulled after just 55 hours.
She went on to marry the father of her children, Kevin Federline, in 2004 but filed for divorce just two years later
