David Beckham visiting sick children

David Beckham visited sick children at a hospital in Australia.

David Beckham, who is an ambassador for UNICEF, met with sick children and their families at Children's Hospital Royal Melbourne in Australia.

Last week, British football player spent time with disadvantaged youth in the Philippines, and this week he decided to spend an hour to visit sick children.

Of these children, he met a girl of 19 months, Fewson Allegra-Ward, who suffers from a bone infection. The mother of the little hope that this visit will provide some comfort to her daughter.

She said: "I hope it will help in his recovery, he may kiss a healer. I do not think it will be recalled, but we will certainly remind him."

Speaking of the day, Beckham said it was a "good trip" and he was very happy to have put a "smile" on the faces of these children.

Adding that this is one of the things he likes, he said, "Go see the children, to see their smiles, give them a smile, it's something that I think helps to heal and give a little joy."
