Latest news: Was Justin Bieber assaulted or did he assault a boy, Police investigate (photos)
The latest news on the Justin Bieber front is that the singing sensation was either assaulted at a laser arcade or assaulted a boy. Police aren’t sure what happened and we aren’t either, that’s why an investigation is
underway. At this point, it could go either way. The RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) could determine Justin Bieber assaulted a 12-year-old boy at the Planet Lazer Entertainment arcade, or even determine the unidentified 12-year-old hurled insults at Justin then extended his hand in order to attack or assault him, giving Justin Bieber the right to push it away in self defense.
The RCMP may also determine nothing happened and the 12-year-old boy is making false allegations against Justin Bieber due to his status as a pop star, therefore charges could be filed against the 12-year-old.
According to reports by the Vancouver sun, the incident happened in Richmond on Friday, October 15,
2010 just before 5:30 p.m.
A press release by RCMP Corporal Annie Linteau said, “The father of a 12-year-old boy reported to police that his son was assaulted by another boy at a Richmond entertainment facility. The boy sustained minimal injuries and did not require medical attention at the time of the incident.”
The police would not release Justin Bieber or the victim’s identities as they are both minors. The press release continued,” We are aware of speculations concerning the identity of one of the parties allegedly involved. However, we would like to remind the public that we do not release the names of any suspect until charges have been laid. In cases where the accused is under the age of 18, the identity of the accused is not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.”
